Glossop Cartons recently attended the Drupa print media fair in Germany, where the team met with software company Imprint-MIS and signed up for a brand new management system designed specifically for carton production.
The deal was sealed at the show after Imprint proved that the bespoke system could tick all the boxes from a wish list of requirements outlined by Glossop Cartons.
The new dedicated system will be built from the ground up and installed at our Stockport premises in the Autumn, marking yet another first for the company as we become the first company to use this innovative new management package.
We were especially impressed with the bespoke system’s handling of grain direction along with the simple and intuitive desktop view and the easy access to information from the MIS.
Sales director Jacky Sidebottom-Every said: “We’re delighted with the deal that we’ve struck with Imprint and really pleased that the team has been able to design a bespoke package that takes into account all the requirements of our carton-based business, rather than just offering a generic ‘one size fits all’ solution.
“We had previously utilised a different management system that’s popular within our industry, however we had felt it was incredibly difficult to extract stock information and proved to be a frustration with us and our valued customers.
Jacky added: “This new system has been built from the ground up especially for the carton industry’s needs and the result is a straightforward, simple design that will help us manage the specific needs of the business at the click of a single button.”
Imprint sales and marketing director Wayne Beckett comments: “We were approached by Glossop with a detailed brief on exactly what they expected from a dedicated carton MIS – this was a dream come true for our developers. Working to their brief, we were able to develop a system that gives Glossop the specific data they require right from estimating through to invoicing.”
